« Previous | All details on a printable page | Contact Jan van Beers about this piece » ![]() Fine Underglaze-Blue and Copper-Red Brushpot, Kangxi (1662 - 1722) 18.40cm diameter ( 7.24 inches in diameter) The brushpot is finely painted with four cartouches, each painted in inky cobalt with copper-red highlights. One portraying a scholar lounging in his gazebo looking out at flowering lotus flowers, the second of a fisherman , the third of a scholar and his attendant seated next to a waterfall, the fourth of a boy playing a flute while standing on the back of his raft.
